Category Theory and Economy
Now by The Invisible Committee, in the section For the Ones to Come, has the line
Economy rests on a pair of fictions, therefore, that of society and that of the individual. […] What these fictions have in common is making us see entities, closed units and their relations, whereas what there is in fact are ties.
This tickled my brain about some category theory thing. Can’t remember it exactly, now, but I feel like it’s characterizing either functors or categories themsselves by their morphisms or some other “the thing that defines thing is not the properties of thing but the relations that give rise to those properties. I think this was an earlyish post on Mathema, so dig that up.
